The grayscale model will enable you to determine the difference between structures and actual schools of fish. It is very important to pay attention to the different features when it comes to the display screen. You do not want to buy the wrong one.

Frequency capabilities of the fishfinder are another feature to look out for. All of the models vary in this department. The higher priced models have a greater frequency. This provides a better screen resolution. Cone angle is another decision that needs to be made. Fishfinder models are made for shallow depths like in lakes and other models are made for the deep seas.

The pricing of fish finders on the market will vary greatly. It all depends on the features you select. Be on the look out for some big pricing increases as your features go up. Greater horizontal and vertical range will be more expensive. Less features means less cost. Make sure you research the features you want and find out the ones you don't need. Don't waste you money on extra features if you don't need them.
