Fishing Equipment
When California's Fish and Game Department seizes fishing equipment, is it auctioned off? If so, where?
I would very much appreciate an answer. Please don't ask me to call the Fish and Game office. The people I talked to in four of the state offices were very polite and professional, but they didn't know and they couldn't connect me to someone that did. They sound like they are understaffed due to the budget cuts.
Does anyone know?

also every city has auctions of confiscated items you need to talk to the city where the arrest or confiscation took place. they have auctions often enough to empty out their storage areas. cars, boats, planes, bikes, tools, furniture, in fact, just about anything that can be found in the bed of a truck when it got confiscated.
